    1998 Corvette

    1998 C5 Dyno Numbers

    Took my '98 vette up to Vincennes, Indiana for a dyno day at Vincennes University Saturday.

    Good day with temps around 50 degrees and no humidity.

    I have a '98 with 6 speed.

    Vararam intake and cat back slp loudmouth exhaust are the only mods. I did just replace the plugs with some ngk iridiums and replaced the wires with some Magnecore 10.5's.

    Dyno'ed 330whp and 345 torque.

    The car has 88,000 miles on it. I was pleased and getting a baseline was the only goal before heads and cam in the Spring.

    I'm looking for about 425-440whp, so I'll be going with what ever combo seems to be getting other ls1's close to this. I want to keep it tame enough that the Mrs still enjoys driving it, but quick enough for the occasional trip to the track.

    My last car i was running a set of 243's i sent to AI along with a g5x3 and full bolt-ons with and LS6 intake and 30lb injectors (same plans for this car) and it dyno'd at 433. Im hoping for the same numbers again or maybe a tad bit more with a bigger or ported tb. Good luck man

    What gears do you have? Stock or performance ratio. Mine has the performance ratio. Stock so I am wondering where it would dyno.

    Mine is also a Sebring Silver 98 6 Speed. I love driving the car. I have the Billy Boat Route 66 exhaust.
