He is one of the older guys at work and he is a real cool guy and he thinks my car is going to beat his and he said he would b surprised if he won... He said he is already afraid to buy tires for his Vette so he wants to go from like a 20-25 roll... I know mine being six speed would have an advantage over is auto..

I wanted to post this in the corvette forms because you guys would know the most about what his vette should be able to do against my f-body.. Tune in guys and let me know what you think the outcome will be, thanks!!

I think from a roll he'll get you on a good stretch
BTW if automatic, the vette is probably 3.23's gears...I think

if you don't violently destroy him you should learn to drive. ls1 = ls1... yours is basically full bolt-ons and his is stock. you win.

Auto Vettes had a 2.73 stock or optional 3.15.
When I had my 97 I switched it out for a 3.42 from a six speed. Mine came with a 2.73 from the factory. That car would wind way out in the gears, if I remember correctly first shifted at around 50mph and second was 90. Don't quote me on that, because it has been years since I had it.

I agree with him on the roll part... 3 weeks ago I cracked my stock differential in half on the street with street tires from a stop.. Kinda afraid to do a stop until I get a solid 9" under there... and now I have 4.10 gears instead of the 3.42's I broke it with lol

You should win easily if you can drive. From a dig it will be even worse if you can stick the launch. From a roll, his weight advantage will be overcome by your increased HP and overall gearing. From a dig, your 4.10s will give you a big jump if you can keep from spinning...
