    Z06 Clutch

    Hey guys

About to order the Z06 clutch from GMpartsdirect and just wondering if I will anything other than the Z06 clutch kit part #12570808? It's just a bolt-on replacement for a 98 Z28 right?
My SPEC is slipping like crazy so this is what's going in next. Any other suggestions would gradly be appreciated as well

    Thanks,

    Josh

Does the kit include throw out bearing? That should be replaced whenever the clutch is.

The kit does not include the throw-out bearing. But I'll add that to my list.
Thanks, anything else I am missing or should get?

That clutch won't hold a lot of horsepower. My buddy has a 02 SS with 415 rwhp and it won't hold it. The clutch hasn't been in there 6 months.

    Hi there,
Why not order from us? We're less expensive shipped?

As far as the actual job... why not go with an LS7 clutch setup? Holds more horsepower, has more clutch surface, etc. The LS7 setup is about 100 dollars more total shipped.

To get the throwout bearing you need to purchase a new slave which it's part of. You can also order coveniently online from us as well. On top of all that, we stock it all!

    Thanks,
    Gene

Hmmmm..... I'm not planning on a lot of power-adders untill at least late next year. But do you have the part numbers of both LS6 and LS7 that include everything I would need for the install? Would make the searching a lot easier for me.

    Thanks again,
    Josh

    Hi there,

The LS6 vs LS7 pics can be found on www.ls1gtoforum.com

As far as how much it will hold, the 06 z06 is rated at 505HP. Lots of discussion on how much HP cars this has been put into and all are on the www.corvetteforum.com

    Thanks,
    Gene
