i think they make that flat spot for clearance issues, it should be fine

I got the TSP Y pipe that has no dents, but it's really tight fitting & hard to keep from vibrating against the cross-member & floorboards. It flows great, but I doubt you would notice the difference in the two !!!
Gets noisy, add a bigger amp or louder mufflers !!! Good Luck !!!

There is no hurt in performance, and like said above its because of clearence issues. Although it will probly still hit the floor board, so a lil cutting and welding is in your future or a bumpstop from mufflex.

I have the 3" y pipe from slp, no flat spots and no clearance issues, and wouldn't flat spots cause more backpressure than a smooth round pipe???? To me i want both banks on my motor to be exhaling evenly,FWIW.

can i use the pacesetter headers and slp y pipe?? will they fit together??

As long as the pacesetters are lt, they should fit, i would call slp first.
