    WTF..install done, extra parts left

Hey guys, stupid question...I just installed my TA Performance rear end cover (a real bitch of a job btw, thanks to those torques head bolts) and I noticed there is a cap or protective shield of some kind that attaches to the top 3 bolts of the stock diff cover.

Anyone know what this thing is or what it was supposed to be for. Anyway there is no way to put it back on with the new cover (unless I bend it a lot to make it fit, which I'm not about to do)
I'm just curious what this thing was and what it was supposed to have done.

FYI, the sophen sway bars and 3 pt sfcs are on and the handling is....very different. I'm still not sure what its really like as I can't drive the car at speed until I get the new wheels reballanced, but its different.

I believe the only reason for the shield/cap thing at the top is to told the wire harness that runs across the top in place.

Yeah I left mine off when I put an aluminum support cover on mine. Should be no big deal.

The protective shield is used over the 5th brake line that is over the differential area.

I have a TA cover, and replaced my brake lines with Russell SS braided lines, no need for the shield.
