I used to see 27 mpg down the highways on a cammed 410rwhp 6spd 3.42 TA a year & a half ago. now, I have a 01 SS 6spd 3.42 that's stock except for headers/exhaust. drove some highway miles for Thanksgiving and got 185 mi out of the gauges first half of tank. Filled it up and that was equivalent to 23 mpg. I used 91 & "up to 10% ethanol." The only non mixed gasoline I can get around here is 87 octane. I was expecting the same gas mileage as my old powerful setup that had less blended fuel. hmmmm.

    You need a new flexplate.

During the summer, on the highway doing 75 to 80 i got 204 miles when i hit half a tank. But i might add.. i topped the tank off so much that my gas needle was trying to escape the dashboard. 93 Shell V-Power.

In TN, there is a law that says if it's blended, it must say it on the pump. The places around here that don't sell it are proud of it and have it posted as well!

^ same here in Oklahoma. well, I think it's a law now. but most places here do have a sticker on the pumps.

i drove from nyc to buffalo today to get back to school. 400 miles even pretty much. i usually end up having to fill up again after 300 miles. never really wanted to push my luck with the gas gauges we have. worked out to be about 25 mpg on 87, and thats with being stuck behind a pile up for a good 40 minutes. and for the most part keeping it "around" 80. those open roads get tempting at times

I'm having tranny issues as well as only seeing 24 mpg on the highway with an intake/cutout/tune a4 WS6. It's like the verter comes unlocked. Think just a flexplate is all I need or should I just go with a verter and flexplate both?

Not sure about your MPG's but...

Don't run so much Seafoam through the car.. Too much of a good thing is not good for it. Seafoam is way to strong to be used often like that... Follow the directions on the back and don't overdo that it can cause you more problems then you started with.
