    WTF does this mean?

My ses light came on and just kept flashing. Then it turned off. Should I be scared?

Flashing indicates it's misfiring. See what the code is, even though it's off most are stored for 40 ignition cycles.

Well if it stays on you're ok, at least for awhile.

But if it starts flashing, you should pull over as soon as it is safe. It could be just a misfire, like said above. Or you could have bent a push rod, which would cause the misfire, and could do more damage if you keep driving.

Yeah don't keep driving if it's flashing. You may need a new engine. Don't ask how I know.
