    Wiring Diagram for Power Windows

    Originally posted this in WS6- probably wrong place- does anyone know where I can download a wiring diagram for the power windows in the 98 TA Firebird? I have a highly talented BMW/Mercedes mechanic attempting to fix my passenger window - I have told him it is the motor which I have read about on here for the last year or so, and copied all the info, but no... 5 hours later, he is considering that it's needs a new motor, but wants (to bypass the motor or something) to be sure it is the motor... driving me crazy...HELP!

    Dont bypass anything, tell him to check for voltage, if there is 12v at the motor when the switch is activated and the motor isnt engaging then the motor is garbage. 10 times outa 10 times your motor is shot, id imagine it started slowing down little by little until finaly it just stopped working.

    Yep- did the 12v test and it's the motor, 10 out of 10...

    here

    this will fix your problem..our passenger window motors are wired in a way that under-powers them causing all these problems

    wont last for long (trust me) especially if you are buying el cheapo motors like form autozone etc without the fix i posted.

    As far as the Ebay window motor im not sure thats a good idea, personaly i always recommend a local parts store motor with a lifetime warranty so when it fails again all you have to do is exchange it.

    Thanks all - yeah- Paypal LOL- I read the Autotrix(thanks), I might get the wiring kit, but right now just trying to fix little problem areas before I put it up for sale. Also need a passenger side seat belt guide(seems I read on here somewhere how to replace it the right way) and an antenna mast(need a black one). Don't want to show the car and have to point out a bunch of stupid stuff that needs to be fixed...
