    Wiper problem

Ok my wipers seem to have a mind of their own. Sometimes they will turn on when I have it on intermittent, low, or high and sometimes they wont go on at all. And sometimes after they have been on they will just stop working but the wipers are still up. If you try to turn them off at this time they will not always go down once you turn them off. The fuse is good and when you have the car on but not running I can hear the what sounds like a relay or motor click on when you turn the switch. But they will not move. Any thoughts??

you drive your car in the rain?

not sure what would cause it. My wipers stop in the up position when you turn them off. found out its a relay actually built into the wiper motor for mine. But, mine doesn't see outdoors when it rains so i keep the fuse pulled
    Good luck figuring it out!

Well I actually had it towed to my gf's house so her dad and I could work on installing my Moser 9" and it rained on the way there. So I pulled it into the garage and tried the wipers and they began doing this lol

Dig around with the search. Seems to me about a year ago another person had the same problem and it was cause by a fault circuit board somewhere.

It could be the control module, there was a problem sometime back with the trucks having this issue.

    BINGO!!! 100% correct.

The wipers are controlled by a circuit (sp) board that is somewhere towards the middle of the dash, I had this problem in a 95 Astro Van.

In my case it was the pulse board.
