Winter Storage
It's getting to be that time of year again, at least for those of us stuck in the north. I plan on putting my car up for the winter within the next couple of weeks and was wondering what everyone does to their car before they put it into winter storage. I change the oil and filter, fill the gas tank and add Stabil, put extra air in the tires, wash and wax exterior, clean interior and condition seats, remove battery and hook it to the Battery Tender, put a box of moth balls and moisture absorber inside, cover the car and put some rat poison under it. Is there anything I forgot?

If you have extra jackstands around, i'd put them on there instead of filling the tires up with extra air. I usually do this, just to avoid dead or flat spots on the tires.

I was just wondering about winter storage myself.
Does anyone know if synthetic oil like penzoil platinum or mobil one ages with time? Just wondering if I change the oil now, drive the car maybe another few weeks (aprox 500 miles) then put it in storage for 4 maybe 4.5 months should I do another oil change before driving the car again next spring? or will I be good to start her up and run her for another 2500 miles before changing the oil?
