windshield wiper

I broke my windshield wiper awhile back and finally decided to replace it. I already have the replacement but cannot take the broken one off for the life of me. I have gone mid evil on the damn thing, tried various gear pullers but none would grab, I am about to just cut the fucker off. Is there something I am missing? Are their any tricks to taking off a windshield wiper? Any ideas? Its on an 02 ws6 if it matters.

Probly not, although it wouldnt hurt to ask, personaly i use a battery terminal puller i got from harbor freight, does the job although the correct tool is pictured above.
"J 39232 Wiper Transmission Separator" is the tech name..
