window regulator
The car I bought had a new window motor put in it and they didn't tighten the bolts good so I tightened them up and while I was doing that I found the spring off the regulator in the bottom of the door.Has anybody left them off and had any problems? The window goes up and down without it.

Are you sure the spring is off the new one? Maybe it was left behind from the old one? The spring helps to raise the window glass taking some stress off the motor. Im sure it works fine now, but it may shorten the life of the new motor.

no there ait a spring on it.I would say the regulator would have to come out to get it back on the best I could tell.
