    2000 Camaro SS

    Window off track?

    Picking up my first Camaro on Saturday! First off, do yall think its a good deal? 2000 SS red with t tops, 6 speed, 38k miles and nothing but custom exhaust. Getting it for 11,800. And second, he says the window will roll up and down, but it could fall off the track...and it will wear out the motor that controls all of that faster if it's not fixed...is that an easy fix? Thanks

    Well, after reading about others with window problems and seeing all the pieces, I might just pay for someone else to figure out all that crap. Lol

    more than likely one of the pieces the window sits on is broken...really isnt that uncommon unfortunately. You can try and "fix" it by welding the piece back on or just replace the whole thing which I would recommend. I've tried doing it the repair route and it didnt work too well.

    In this one it will walk you thru installing a new motor, but it also talks about the Autotrix window fix for the passenger motor. Did mine 5 yrs ago and still no issues with weak passenger motor.
