Will Truck Throttle Body Work? Worth It?

I've read that the TB's for GM trucks (LS Motors) are 80mm compared to 75mm for F-bodies and will work on them. First, is this a true bolt on swap? Is there a specific year to look for? If I can get a deal on a new throttle body for a 6.0 truck, would it be a good mod? (02 Z28)Thanks

It's not just a simple matter of bolting on a truck MAF - the SLP 85mm MAF is a truck MAF as far as I know - but with the recalibrated electronics and an adapter connector to go from your wiring harness to the new MAF connector.

Hey Joe, I asked the same question about a week or so ago and still no answer. In the 2 books I have ,they're saying it's 85 mm.The only reply I got,the guy thinks there is little modding by nothing for sure.I wish there was a tech around to answer

You can buy this from SLP with recalibrated electronics and an adapter to plug it in.In other words the straight up swap won't work-buy the SLP deal to make it work-that was the answer I was looking for before.

Hey guys,Joe was asking about the 85 mm throttle body/air valve, not the maf.Just to let you guys know slp does not offer throttle bodies-true they do offer maf's and are plug ins and they work.
