Ok, it's been a while and no one has commented on this. I will plead stupidity of the first degree and ask. What does it stand for?

    2002 Trans am WS6 pkg

I was in the same boat early this year and decided to look for a camaro for the price even tho I liked the trans ams. Well I get around to goin in and findin an 01 ss with 36k for $11,000. Waited a few weeks for that down payment and that's when I got slapped with a deal on my trans am. Look what I chose

much much nicer. I forget about the little problems when I park it up with an ss now. Get what u want

    2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6

I think both are cool cars, I just have been a Pontiac guy since 1981, when I bought my first Trans Am, a white 1973 455 Auto. Girls loved it back in the day and they love the 4 gen just as much!

    98 T/A w/a little mods...

Both are good cars. I favor the T/A because of the body curves. The Camaro is straight and flat, no curves at all. Kinda like my taste in women. I like curves not tooth picks. She gotta have T and A, just not too much. The T/A has just the right amount IMHO.

If I was to get a cheap car and tear down and build up for track I prob go with which ever is cheaper....

Some cars look like they might kick your ass. A WS6 Trans Am not only looks like it will, it does, then steals your girlfriend.

    Hence, the difference in price!

I chose the camaro mainly cuz of the price I wanted the t/a but I REALLY wanted the drivetrain. But like said above. A camaro looks like it can kick your ass. The trans am is coming over to do it!!!

If you like the way the TA looks, which when i bought my camaro i spent alot of time wishing id bought a TA, trust me you will too, every time you wash it or look at pictures of it you will wish it was a TA. Plus the Camaros are just dated cars now, where as with a Trans am you might possibly never ever see one for sale at a dealer and it might be worth a chunk of money years down the road.

well i think you guys have me convinced. especially with the last few posts ill just buck up and put out the extra cash. and has anyone actually put a car seat in the back of a TA. not that my kid will be back there at all unless i cant help it. (all other cars break!) but how big of a pain is it?

    Not that bad.
Use towels to fill in the bucket and it will be fine.

To be honest its not bad as long as the car seat is behind the passenger seat and if there is a passenger they dont have much room. Another thing is its a pain in the ass to get the kid out unless u got the T-Tops out then its easy jus pull them out the top lol.

Same here too. I have to stick Emily (2 y/o) behind the passenger seat so I can drive. But the wifey is 5'3" so she fits pretty good with the seat hehind her on the passenger side. Wifey does'nt have too much trouble when the car seat is behind the driver seat either but I can't even get in with it there lol. Well @ least not with out blowing the horn with my ass lol..

They are both good cars. The T/A looks nice, more plastic on body ,headlight motors, cracking door trim, water in lights. better seat, more to go wrong. also heavier then a Camaro because of added trim.
I liked the Camaro interior better,T/A dash kind of...well..not me. And what part of the car do you look at the most..the dash.
Just seems less to go wrong in a Camaro. Anything can have issues. more moving parts.. more to go wrong...
    Just my .02.

Buy an SS or WS6 or even a Vette. If I had a chance to go back to 2000, I would have waited until I could have afforded the extra money for either one. Instead I bought a Z because it was over $5k cheaper.

As for things breaking down, the window motor is notorious....Someone posted about the sun visors and yes my driver side visor comes off every once in a while. This has happened recently.

Good Luck in whatever you decide!
