white smoke under heavy load OPINIONS??

Just curious I have 111,000 on my 2000 m6 z28
and since I bought it at 17,000 in 2002
when ever I get on it hard which is not that often
because I baby the car, is it normal with the ls1
to get some heavy white smoke on a hard take off
out your rear view mirror. I just think that the guy behind me
must think ooohhh that car must be f'd.

But I know there isn't a problem otherwise
it would have broke down with a major issue a long time ago.

I am thinking its just normal carbon blow by with this
particular motor.

No it is not normal and you need to give us more info - any modifications? Is it just smoke on initial throttle or does it smoke continuously under load? What kind of oil are you using? Have you done a leak down test?

Just like said above, not normal at all, post up some additional info and we will point ya in the right direction...

Yeah need more info plz. But it sounds like coolant in the combustion chamber to me thus far.

does not smoke on any basis
but blows out white smoke
just on the hard take off only
not at idle not when driving
only on a hard race take off?

Car does not, or ever ran funny or problematic
I gues just a little embarassing on take off at times



and I use 10w 30 castrol synthetic from 17,000 to now 111,000
and this car has done that ever since I bought it
