    Whistling Sound

Hey everyone! New to the forum, looking for good advice and good ideas. I know very little about cars, so if what I say sounds confusing...

Anyway, to the point. I have a 2001 TA with the 4 speed Auto. Last week, the transmission went out (47000 miles). The guy said (and showed me the part) some threads on the pump stator stripped coming out of the throttle box. This caused, as you can guess, a bunch of problems. Nice grumbling crunching sound from the trans. So, I had it towed to the shop.

Got it back today after they put in a new LS kit in the trans and put in a rebuilt torque converter. I also had them change the rear diff fluid while I was there. I also had the fuel filter changed and the fuel system flushed.

I am now getting this weird whistling noise above 30 mph and it won't go away. Any ideas??

Maybe they put on STS on there for you and didn't let you know about it?

    Thanks.

The whistling has calmed down significantly, however it now sounds like there is a window open somewhere, but all the windows are closed. Ideas?

Hopefully they put the posi additive in your rear....those tranny shops are shady so it wouldn't surprise me if they didn't.
