Whining sound

My TA seems to be making a whining sound that increases or decreases depending on how much I accelerate. It sounds kind of like when your steering wheel is turned to far to the left or right and you start driving. Does that mean I need anything replaced or does anyone else notice that on their as well?

Check your AC idler pully.

could be your power steering pump. Mine did that and i had to buy a new pump. only like $50. mine is a 98 ss. the guy i bought it from took of the power steering cooler bc he said it had a leak and the car doesnt need it anyway.....but the whine got real loud so i replaced it with a new one and now that one is starting to whine. guess i just have to replace pumps every 6 months.

That or either just go buy a new power steering cooler. Probably could find one cheap at a junk yard. Why did the previous owner remove it? My 00 Z28 doesn't have one on it though. Was that some kind of an add on option?
