Where should I attach a Shift Light pickup?
I just bought a MSD Digital Shift Light kit, PN 8963 and
have the unit mounted. What I need to know is where
is the best place to attach the GMR Pickup? Where I would
like to place it is around the computer on the passengers
side as I can get to that easily. However, I have not idea
as to which wire to place it on. It needs to attach to any
coil positive wire. Oh, this is a '99 Camaro SS.
Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated.

The rockers are working out just great. I am happy with the install. Can't say as much for the cats. Big mistake!
I expect a Brasani "Y" pipe with cats tomorrow and I will head for the local muffler shop as soon as it comes. Hopefully, it will bring the noise and tone back under control.
Thanks for the info on the shift light. I understand, number 10 pin on the lower connector. Are the pin
or jack side numbered where they can be seen? Hopefully,
this will work as that is much easier to get to than the
coils. I need to pull the PCM anyway to put that passenger window voltage heavy up kit in.

pul the connector off the PCM. pull the grey plastic cover off the connector and you'll see the numbers. there are three white wires on that connector, so, make sure you get the #10. #10 will be towards the left side of the connector. numbers run left to right.

Can I get to the tachometer wire in the dash? I am going
to remove the dash underside panel, right above the
instrument cluster anyway for mounting of the shift light.
Could I make the connection there easier than at the
PCM? If so, how would I do that?
