ok guys, I am new to this website and I have really only have a couple questions.

I am looking to get 450whp with a auto tranny in my ls1 rx7
this car is a weekend car only
I have a 2000 ls1 5.7 out of a z28, It has 243 cnc heads, ls6 intake and tb and polluter v2 cam

the two questions I have is this.

will I hit my mark with this? if not what could I get to hit it..

im not looking to spray it

What kind of rear are you using? Gear set/tire height become a factor.

You are in the 400's, just not sure you're at your goal.


If you look at my setup in my signature got me 450 RWHP. This was on crappy injectors, needing new plug wires and O2 sensors that need replaced. My heads are a real set of 243 with the sodium filled valves but are not ported or cnc. They did get refreshed valve guides etc. Once I've fixed some of the issues I'll go back and get my final SD tune.

An easier question would be.....Here's what I made on the dyno, what can I change on the combo to improve the number??

There are just waaaay to many factors in the drivetrain that will change your outcome, like which auto tranny are you using? How loose is the converter? Does it lock up and if so, do you plan to lock it on the dyno? Exhuast, rearend IRS? Then the type of dyno you use and how it's operated has an affect.

Personally, if HP numbers are important to you, I'd hit the dyno and see where it's at and if you're happy with that. It might surprise you.

Amen. I have no idea what our car makes for horsepower... but I can tell you exactly what it'll run in a quarter mile and how each modification has improved my times and speeds.
