where to get dummy catalic converter?

I wanting to get something that simulates a catalic converter (maybe just a heat shield) that can be welded on top off my ORY-pipe.

not wanting to cut and weld cats to my ORY-pipe.

    any sugestions?

    Thanks

    cats

I've checked w/ a few muffler places found out they sell used cats for about the same price as so el cheapo's cats.

I think I have the same plan as you, do you just have the bottom part of cat?

GA. is getting firm on this issue if my car breaks down and it's something I can't fix shops won't work on a car w/ ORY-pipe.

as far as appearance goes, it has a full slp 3" cat in place. but they are completely empty. a grinder, for opening and clean up(if you prefer clean work), and a mallet or hammer if you prefer. nothing is loose so if you knock on the cats it sounds like they are in one piece.

so half a cat won't look real? or sound real if beaten on?

sounds like I'll be forced to cut my ORY to fake some stuff up?

guess I'll get some real el' cheapo dynomax or simalair gut'em then add to my ORY(hate to cut a nice ORY).

    Thanks

open the cats, empty them, and weld the to the around the inlets of the y. i wouldnt expect that to be too hard. then you'll have the full y with the looks of cats. make sense?

Just take off your stock cats and gut them with a crowbar (scrape out) and put them back on.....
