Do you plan on dropping the rearend and tank or cutting through the rear deck? I'll have to look for a link once you decide which plan of attack you go with.

The trap door is SOOOOO much easier. Just rivet a piece of tin over the TD and nobody will ever know it's there.....

I agree about the trap door mod. It's so much easier than dropping the tank

    3 hours tops (no cutting).
    1. Raise and support the rear of the body on jack stands, leaving only the jack under the axle.
    2. Remove the lower shock bolts.
    3. Remove panhard bar and lateral support.
    4. lower axle only but still supported by jack.
    5. With axle lowered remove driver wheel well cover there's no need to remove the wheel.
    6. Remove filler neck bolt one 10mm.
    7. Support tank.
    8. remove the tank saddle bolts swing out of way.
    9. lower tank SLIGHTLY.
    10. reach in and disconect the wire harness and quick disconnects @ the top of pump housing and one on the body near the harness plug.
    11. Lower tank and tilt down and towards rear bumper, it will slide out and off your support.
    12. Remove old pump, then reverse assemble..

That's how I do it. By the time someone cuts a hole in the floor I'm already done.

We just did a dual intank setup on our 02 ss.
    {actually used Ford SVT Focus Fuel Pumps as we use them in a ton of the fords we build}

We used the trap door method.

Were holding 80psi @ idle with 42lb injectors and it only falls off to 60lbs @ 15psi of boost.

I say this merely as Im sure we will be in there as needed, so the trap door seems like the logical choice..
