Where is the fuel pressure sensor?

I'm having fuel pump problems and am looking for the location of the fuel pressure sensor. It's the sensor that cuts off the fuel pump when the key is on and the car is not running. In other words; when you turn the key on with out starting engine the fuel pump will come on for a few seconds then is supposed to shut off, mine doesn't, keeps on running.

    Thanks.

Fuel tank pressure sensor is on top of the fuel pump module.

Don't mean to be stupid, but is that on top of the tank? In the tank? Is it accessible without pulling the tank? Thanks for your help, be patient, I'm new to the F-body world.

It's on top of the fuel pump to be exact. The tank will have to come out to access it or you'll have to cut the infamous access panel in the hatch area. It would be much easier to check those wires where they exit off of the tank and plug into the harness in the rear firewall. If that sensor was bad I would also suspect you would be getting a code of some sort. I would definitely try to check the wire at the firewall before pulling the tank.

This is a pic I took during my racetronix install to help a guy wire in the hotwire kit. It's not the greatest pic but you can see where the plugs are and the harness coming from the tank. This has the racetronix kit already in there so you won't have that many wires under there. The harness drops down off of the tank and plugs right in to the back of the bulkhead. You can get to everything easily with the car on stands. No need to remove anything. Hope this helps.
