Where is this fuel hose supposed to go?

There are three steel tubes coming up on the drivers side of the LS1 engine on this 98 Camaro that used to have a 3.8. Each one of these attaches to a hose protected by what looks like aluminum foil. The middle one goes to the middle of the fuel bar and the front one goes to the black plastic valve that attached to a red hose flex covered behind the air intake. On this car the rear one is not attached to anything though it says caution fuel flammable. Is this steel line and hos left over from the 3.8 or is it a return line that is not hooked up?
