Question Where does fuel pump ground to?

Can anyone tell me where the fuel pump ground wire terminates? And does anyone know if the fuel level sending unit grounds to the same location? I'm trying to track down a possible fuel delivery interruption, and my sending unit is already wonky, so I thought it's just possible that if it's a bad or loose ground, they (the sender and an intermittent fuel delivery issue) might be trackable to the same source. ??

    thanks.

Should be on the floor pan on the drivers side, in front of the axle. Don't know about the sending unit - have 2 friends that had to replace theirs though.
