Whats the best 'first mod' ?
i was thinking about intake mods first, but there isnt too much gain. what would be the best thing to do to a stock motor to get the most hp out??

If you are talking about generic go-fast mods then I have 1 question - A4 or M6? Either way tires with grip...i.e. drag radial.
A4 - torque converter = big gains
M6 - gears
For pure horsepower do all the free mods first and maybe a new air lid.

i'd say a new lid or subframe connectors

If its gains you want then def. nitrous. But If it were me i would do a Intake lid then a catback.

Probably a mild sleeper cam if it is running with the stock motor.

Yes good sir i did along with the titanuim retainers, , it doesnt take more than a day to get the work done. especially when you have a full garage to your desposal. the specs on the cam are .575/.563, i still need to tune it and run on the dyno to see what gains i have. ill keep you updated.

I got to say if your stock get a set of Nittos or another decent brand of HP tires. They don't have to be the drag radials if your not planning on dragracing your ride. When I bought my 98 used it had a set of goodyear eagles on it and anytime you got on it or hit second gear the ass end of the car would try to pass you. I put a set of Nittos on it and then it was like driveing a completely different car. You could hookup and get gone instead of worring which side of the ditchbank I was going to hit next. If your only interested in performance/sound get you a DMH Electric Cutout and mount it in that sweet spot under the passengers seat.

that's the tr230 cam. Pretty decent cam that makes good power. Post up your dyno results. Are you still running stock manifolds and you never said if you were an a4 or m6. I'm hoping m6 with that cam.
