Gotta be careful with that gear. I saw my bro shatter a 10 bolt in my driveway.

The first day I had the Z, I punched it in reverse backing it up, and it hippity hopped and I thought I had broke the damn torque arm. That suspension is designed for hard forward acceleration, not hard backward acceleration. (for you physics whiz's, I said backward acceleration, not deceleration)

Needless to say, I never punch it reverse, NEVER!

I like the pull of third on a nice flat road. But whats up with my car once I grab second I never have traction issues?

Perhaps you have good tires like me

The previous owner put Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires on my T/A, with 285's in the back. It will go sideways if I slam 2nd from the top of 1st, but after that, no traction issues to speak of

Where do 4.10s loose their punch at? What speed? I debating on whether or not to get em. How much harder do they pull compared to 3.42s

They really don't lose their punch anywhere, they are more responsive and accelerate faster than the stock 3.42's across the board, at any speed or any RPM.

You'll definitely notice a hige difference over the stock gears, however, you have to shift much more often and the car turns more RPM's on the highway, which isn't in the best interest of fuel economy. I think the best compromise is 3.73's, right in between stock and the rather aggressive 4.10's.

I get 25 to 30 mpg on the highway with 4.10's. That is in sixth at almost 2000 rpm. However, around town it is hard to stay out of it, and the mpg drops to a dismal 12-13 mpg.

Apparently, above 3000 rpm the LS1 dumps enough fuel to power a 747.

I'm with you on that one.

Run it hard or shift above 3K RPM, and the LS1 will guzzle the fuel

Going to have to second liking D.... does the most for me lol. In a parking garage i like to leave it in 1. When I first got the Z I left a couple feet of tread doing a burn out in R.. havent really messed with it since. Backward acceleration is deceleration, depending on your frame.
