Asking that question because of the light? It has oil but that light turns on usually on start up or something and then turns off usually.

It always burned alot of oil though.

no I askd cuz if you drove it with no oil or low oil. The engine it's gone. How many miles? If it burns oil
Probably you drove it with low oil.
I'm sorry to say this but. You are gonna have to rebuild the engine or get a used or new engine

yep spun a rod. That double tap noise when you blip the throttle gives it away.

Doesn't sound good... Pull both valve covers and then the rocker assemblies, then pull the push rods to see if you bent a couple. If all that looks good, pull the motor.

When I broke a push rod it sounded like this. I ended up having a couple bent ones also.

I would check that out before writing off the motor.

Mine made the same noise. It started doing it slowly over time, little by little. One day, a moth or so latter it started doing it all the time. Sounded like it came from oil pan. One of the last things I did was take out the torque converter bolt after taking aprt the rest of the engine. NOT one torque converter bolt was tight. They all were finger tight. One had almoast completly fell out.
Probably spun a bearing, but check everything close. Mine sounded just like that.
I put an LQ9 in it.
