    2000 Trans Am

    What wires should I buy?

    What are the best wires to purchase for my car .......i just installed new NGK plugs, and now am wanting to do a set of wires.......it is a 2000 trans am.....suggestions please..........~Chris
    2000 Arctic White trans am, ws6 hood, ws6 air box, slp lid, slp smooth bellows, slp loudmouth exhaust,shift kit, rebuilt trans, LS6 intake, 3.73 gears, Shaner S3 p/p throttle body, and a tune . SFC. C6 ZO6 rims 18" in back 17" in front. Drilled and slotted rotors.

    I have no idea what the "best" are but I used the MSD 8.5mm wires.

    It really does not matter what wire you purchase, whether it is high or low resistance, just make sure it is RF insulated.

    The stock length wires on an LS1 is only 10" (300hm), with the coils putting out over 48k volts, you are going to get a very hot spark to the plug.

    Are they hard to install.......are they easier then changing plugs?

    Well you had them off to change your plugs.....you tell us

    I didn't do them lol, i guess i should have specified! A shop redid the plugs.....so i ask again how hard is this?

    you pull one off & put one on.....use boot grease so they come off nice & easy next time

    Go out to your car & try one & find out
