what valve spring compressor to use?

what is the best one to change the springs and did you use the air to hold the valves from dropping?

crane spring tool. does two at once. i used air when i used it. you can use the TDC method

when using the TDC method will the valves still go down some and does it make it hard to get the spring compressed enough to get the locks out?

never did it the TDC method. from what i've read, it shouldn't be any problem doing it.
