Well, its located on the drivers side of the motor, towards the rear of it right above the coils. And the little vaccum line on the right goes into the solenoid for the A.I.R. system.

looking through the wiring diagrams in haynes i get the following...

the air solenoid relay in the underhood electrical center 2 has the orange and the pink/black wires running to it. the orange is the hot wire. the pink/black runs back to the injection pump itself and also to the bleed valve solenoid. at the bleed valve solenoid it goes in as pink/black and comes out as black.

oddly enough as far as it goes that would appear to be the relay although i'd lean more towards the bleed valve solenoid since you said it has a vacuum line running into it.

Thanks. Im wanting to take out all my air stuff, and since i saw this was connected to it i thought id ask what its for since ive never heard of anyone removing it. Ive just seen it capped off when the rest of the air system is removed.

i'd love to take out my air system as well...i just don't have the money to do the tune on it. yeah i could drive it just fine without a tune...but the check engine light would drive me up the wall.
