i just bought a 2002 camaro what headers will pass emissions legally?

What kind of emission testing do you have to go through? Do they do a visual check, computer scan, and/or test tailpipe emissions?

In California, any headers that DO NOT move the stock position of the catalytic converters, and have a C.A.R.B. (California Air Reliabilty Board) plate on them.

Depends on the manufacturer. As stated earlier, if they have a CARB exemption number and do not relocate the cats, then you're good to go. I have never heard any issues about installing shorties and passing emissions. Although the mainstream header options are long tubes.
