what do i need Ls6 intake

I have a 99 trans am. What all do I need to install a ls6 intake parts wise? I see many for sale, some with fuel rails, some with injectors???? I don't have any engine mods and know nothing about it?? Do I need a new gasket? Egr delete kit??? Do I need any other parts other than getting the intake and putting what I have already, back on??? I need knock sensors, which I have including wire harness, I would like to make this change since it's coming off anyway, I just know nothing about this??? Please help! thanks

The only extra thing that you will need is an egr delete. Now, on the intake you will either need to grind the little ribs off that are on the bottom or you will have to buy a steam line kit for a 01-02 f-body. Other than that its a pretty straightforward and easy job.

and possibly a spare oil pressure sending unit as they tend to break when removing the intake.

get the ls6 style coolant crossover pipe and rear block offs. Thunder racing carries them. Just watch that brake booster hose when you're sliding the intake out and you should be able to pull it without breaking the oil pressure sender. It sits just behind the intake on the drivers side. Find it prior to pulling the intake out so you know what you're dealing with and then just snake the booster hose out around that sensor.
