    Question what clutch should i get?

    what clutch should i get on my ls1 camaro SS? I have in the car right now a z06 performace clutch. i had that installed back in 01 or early 02.

    what is the life span of a clutch? ??

    what clutch should i look into???
    and where can i find the best price online? performance shop?

    well i dont run drag radials . .its an ls1 stock for the most part. but i do have some bolt ons and free mods .

    well i can tell u what NOT to get.....DONT get spec 2/3 NON plus...i hear the spec 2 + and 3+ are goood..but ive been having probs with the regular spec 3 with not many miles on it..and the guys at newera told me that was commen with that clutch to have probs......they recommended ram clutches or a spec 3+ for my car......2+ would be more than enough for yours......since u dont have much in the way of mods i would stick with a stock c5 z06 clutch.....there good for 400 flywheel horsepower and the stock driveability feels great ..get a lighter billet steel flywheel with it

    LS7 clutch with a LS2 flywheel from Fred Beans in Limerick PA. Get a 01+ slave too. Should be under $600 total

    is this from experience? do u have this clutch? i was thinking about the same thing but i havnt heard much about it yet ..and is the install str8 forward??? just like installing any clutch

    very nice..how much rwhp do u have? ...im at 400 now and ill be around 430 after headers....will this clutch still hold?

    NICE.,.what did the install cost u? was that 600 with a billet steel flywheel? or just the regular ls2 steel flywheel? thanks....ill most likely be doing a clutch in the spring...mine makes metal to metal scraping noises somtimes.......i think its worn pretty good..lol

    mine was wuth the LS2 flywheel, all said and done it was under 4600, but that was a little while back. Call Gene at Fred Beans, he will take care of you.

    Nah. Paid local shop in DE guy charged $300, I ain't handy...not even a little bit.

    300 thats it.................i gotta get a new one now.............on chrismas night i was driving like an ass and my clutch slipped bad.....lost some petal pressure and could smell it burning........im going to order the ram clutch outta summit.....says it is a stock replacement that will support up to 600hp..........it is around 400..........this all sucks because my N2O kit came in today and i wanted to play with it this weekend

    hey craz1469 Ram is a great clutch i have it in my t/a. ws6project.com has the HD @$393.00 and the HDX @ $336.00. DON'T ORDER FROM SUMMIT save some money and invest in more mods. good luck

    Hmmm. I had a SPEC 3+ installed, but I think that would be overkill for your application. I haven't had any problems so far, but it's only been about 1000mi...
