One last thing... once you think you found, and fixed, the problem, it is a good idea to plug all connectors back in and test before snapping the BCM back into that bracket.

    Good luck!!

Well, in every case of this so far (as i've read on another site) where the problem was fixed (up to the repair unibrow did) replacing the BCM fixed the problem.....

Unibrow, you are the man!! I took out my BCM today and inspected the solder joints and VOILA! the one flat spade was cracked all around the solder joint. It took me about 5 minutes to put a nice bead of solder on there, another 5 minutes to install it back in and get the panels back on...problem fixed!
I do regret not taking pictures like I wanted to but YOUR description tells it to the T so for everyone having this problem, don't go spending $200, pull that sucker out and fix it yourself...and if you're not comfortable soldering, ask a friend!
Cheers and thanks a bunch Unibrow!

Just wanted to update everyone reading this post on the status of the BCM fix. Its been since last weekend and my stereo is still running strong, the BCM did the trick. Can't say the same about my windows though...not that they stop working randomly because my passenger side works fine, its my driver's side which stopped working pretty much all together. I think all the power surges from the BCM did it so I ordered a new motor and will be installing it this Saturday.

These cars are famous for weak window motors. My drivers door window motor is getting weak. Still, I am ok with that, I would rather have that annoyance than have the LS1 be down 50 HP so GM would have spent more $$$ on window motors. I should probably fix mine so the 2x I go to the dragstrip, that would probably be when it would fail completely and not go up!
