weight reduction of bumper surports?

I'm concidering cutting off the front and rear bumper surports on the 99 TA

? is the front bumper surport replaced w/ alunamin or like to surport the long TA bumper?

and how important is the stock surport if I was in a front crash?

if you drive the car on the street I personally wouldn't remove the supports. The gain doesn't justify the risk. It'd be like pulling the rear brakes off for weight savings....just not worth it.

It is not worth it. They weigh about 45lbs collectively... and rest assured, the car WILL total if you give or get a good little love tap.
