    Wear of stall / 150 n2o

    Hi,

Which of these is most likely to kill my 10 bolt and stock A4 tranny?

I would use a progressive controler with the n2o, to reduce the shock on parts, and I'm will be getting 315 x 17" for the rear.

I'm not really into drag racing, so I won't be putting them through lots of hard take offs, I'm more into roll racing.
A stall will be putting stress on them all the time.
So which is going to be more stressfull for my stock parts............?

    Thanks for the help.

A stall is actually not near as hard as dropping a clutch.... All automatics have a stall point. it is the place where holding the gas and brake simo, causes the tires to break free.. you feel the car lung up, and the brakes strain to hold it, whether that be at 800 or 4000 rpms, it preloads the suspension so there isnt a shock load like dropping the clutch creates....

If you dont hold the brakes, even a 4k stall drives pretty normal from a start or a roll.....

install a good size transcooler and a deeper pan to help keep trans temps down.

^ yes.... that is a must, as well as 2 temp gauges, 1 in the pan, and one in the out going cooler line. Can never be too safe.

B&M super cooler (with fan) worked well as a stand alone cooler in my 99Z w/ TH350/4k stall... Then if you buy a be cool radiator, you can buy the cheaper M6 one....
