best advice I can suggest is to find where the water is coming in from. Chances are it is leaking in around the window or seeping in under the wing.

are there any grommets or seals between the wing and the hatch?

That I do not know, but guessing because of the third brake light and mounting studs (?) there would be some sort of seal/grommet there.
