All look pretty normal to me.
Check out post #98. It was in moderation, waiting for approval, (and invisible to everyone except moderators) for a couple weeks and noone caught it.

the mount looks fine as far as i can tell. maybe the rubber is broke on the inside. i don't know. i do know the there is movement in the drive train, like i said just looking under the car while at idle i notice the exhaust system move/shake some, same with the transmission, and engine.

for the price i'm going to swap in a poly or es tranny mount. then, we'll see.

what else other then mounts could cause the engine, exhaust, and tranny move around/shake at idle?

An out of balance engine or torque converter can cause the engine to shake around.

thanks for the reply, i dont think the tq converter is bad since i unbolted it and ran the car with no change. and the problem i'm dealing with is at idle and through the rpms in park. not while driving. i can drive it and put it in N and it rides smooth.

i'm not sure what the problem is. at first when i noticed the problem i could'nt tell any vibes at idle, just revving the engine. now with new poly mm the engine/tranny move/shake/vibe at idle. i'm going to add a poly trans mount that way at idle nothing can move.

if no change i'm going ahead with the tranny rebuild, stall and flex plate. if no change i'm building a 6.0

if it still vibes i'm going to burn the car. prob solved HAHAHA

I don't see anything wrong with it. Is that a new mount?

no idea how to do it. i tried looking it up, but i have been sick for a couple weeks and have not read up on all the how to's here lately. would this be something a shop would have to do?

i u tubed eric the car guy and watched him do a power balance test. i will give it a shot, but i think i have already unplugged each coil pack one at a time while running and found nothing. i'll do it again, cause, what the hell.

It's just weird that mount is hollow. I would think that mount would be solid rubber, not hollow. I know my motor rocks about an inch and a half.

it's pretty soft mount.. if i were a big ass engine it wouldn't hold me back. look for a poly mount later this week.

I am cross-referencing with a site I use for my car. The mount in the site I am looking at looks solid and doesn't have the opening in the center like in the pic you posted.

i think you might need to switch your exhaust or your pipes to cancel the vibration

Seriously? It was the trans mount the whole time?

Glad to hear you finally conquered the problem!!

All the vibes are gone now? I might have to try this, since my car has a vibe that sound similar to yours.

How do you like the poly, I'm guessing it's better than before, but any harshness or negative aspects to it?

no actually it's not fixed at all. i got side tracked and sent a reply without finishing what i was saying.

    it's still not fixed..

new poly trans mount, cleaned the TB and MAF. i took the car for a drive and found out what everyone has been talking about. it makes a bad vibration right there at the console. but..

on a side note, i already have a vibration problem. so thats why when i added the trans mount it vibrates right there in the console area. when i got the car to 70, popped the trans in N there is no vibration from the drive shaft or rear end with the new trans mount. so i know it's related to what ever is going on already.

i pulled each injector connector off one at a time to see if i could hear a difference at idle. i could hear a noticeable with each one.

i think it might be time to have a new set of eyes look at this car. i for sure am exhausted. i don't know what else to do.

oh, and sometimes the car starts right up. sometimes the car turns over and over, stop, then turn it over and it fires right up. does't matter if the engine is cold or warm.

yes i have checked fuel pressure 58ish psi running at idle. no i have not changed the fuel filter.
