Valve Cover and Coil rack
Been tweaking my old man's 2000 Z28 and am really impressed by the lower profile valve cover, then a metal tray mount for coils. Very clean look.
This is new to me, and I have only just started into collecting Camero's.
On my 98, coils mount direct to valve cover and I am always fighting header heating issue. I like the idea of the coils mounting to the rail/plate and a lower profile valve cover, preferaably polished. This should set off the look a little nicer and really highlight my MSD set-up in all it's glory.
Any folks have an idea if the set up is aftermarket or stock (on Pop's 2000) or where I could go to replicate the set up? Source and part numbers would be most appreciated.

Forgive the crime against humanity...actually just got back from dealership, Coil Mount Frame is the actual nomenclature, unique to 00's and beyond and it looks like I can use it on the much taller valve cover of the 98.
I'll tell you what, Vintage Parts of Beaver Dam, WI (the out of production parts house for GM) is sure proud of their stuff! I guess when you have an exclusive you can do that sort of thing?
Thank God for Rick's 1st Gen...don't have to suffer through this extortion to often!

98s have perimeter bolt style valve covers which dont use the coil brackets. I dont think the valve covers are much taller they just seem it. In order to get a setup like your dads you'd have to change heads to allow center bolt style valve covers.
I myself actually relocated my coils under the cowl and am planning on grinding down the valve covers smooth for an even cleaner look.
