    valve cover

does anyone has a passage side valve cover off a ls1 engine ,what I need is a picture of the under side so I can see the locking tab that holds the factory fill tube on the cover so I can possibly bend it out of the way to remove the tube whi tout taking the cover off. thanks

I only took pics of the top of the covers when I polished them a few years back.

Just for fun, I Googled "ls1 oil fill tube" and came up with a couple of good pics under "Images".

I was afraid to break it and just worked around mine. Even though you really can't see them, a polished stock cover looks pretty good.

Hand sanded the rougher areas with 400 wet, ran a soft Dryloc over the entire thing with my angle die grinder, and then polished them with a buffing wheel in my straight die grinder. Did not take long at all.
