    v6 to lq9 swap

    I found an 02 v6 f-body for $800 motor went bad so I'm thinking about getting it an put a N/A lq9 in it on a budget an make close if not 500 HP

    I say hell yeah.


    But you do know you'll have a lot to do. I'd use the V6 to LS1 swap threads as a guide. Only difference is the LQ9 instead of LS1 block.


    Some things off the top of my head you'll need are.

    V8 K- member
    LS1 style oil pan
    Wire harness
    PCM
    Exhaust
    Transmission
    New rear too. I say this only because of your power plans for the build.





    If you do pursue this make a thread we love that stuff here.

    I'm certain that there's more but just the quick stuff I can think of.

    fuel lines as well look up the thread Frankenbird project by member ls1camino. He doing the same thing.
