unlocking 2002 camaro door

I locked the only keys i have in my car and want to get in. How do I do that with out callin a locksmith. I have no slimjim, prob be lucky to get a wire coathanger.

Buy a slimjim at your local parts store, then get a spare set made when you get the door opened.

whatever you do, DO NOT USE the block and air pressure cuff method.

You will break your window. The design of our doors/window does allow for this because there is no door frame that goes around the window.

I saw a video on youtube where these guys where showing how easy it was to open a locked car door and they used a toilet plunger on the keyhole and opened the door, dont know if that will work but would like toknow if it does.

drill a 3/8 hole into one side of a tennis ball, position hole over the the key hole, push on ball very hard.

sometimes it works, but most often not.


If you use a hanger try to aim for the trunk release or door lock button. I've gotten in using this way a couple of times. Far easier then pushing the lock slide forward

Take a sledge hammer and break the window, you will then be able to access your vehicle.

That is totally bogus and has never worked. LOL. Video of it is fake as hell. LOL

If you can find you a classic long skinny style slim jim and you can pop it in just a matter of seconds if you know what you are doing. Had to do it to mine once.
