u-joints bad??
I was driving to work this morning on 95 at about 80 mph and when I let off the throttle my car started to vibrate and make a clanking noise. It only happens when I'm off the throttle, I don't notice any noise or vibration when accelerating. The vibration almost felt like a flat tire. I've also noticed my car has had a lot of wheel hop lately and when I get on it and shift hard it feels like my tranny or drive shaft is going to come through the floor board. I'm hoping its my U-joints, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Check your tranny mount.
Not always but more often than not a U-joint will viberate on acceleration.
What's your mileage?

I found the problem. My driver side wheel was lose. The lug nuts were backing off and the rim was shaking badly. I bought a new set of lug nuts and everything is fine. Thanks for the feedback guys
