what i can tell you its that the car its faster and i dont have the tools or a dyno to check the gains but you can feel it on the 2nd gear real good and also i make 2 more holes in the bumper that means more air.
the holes are in between the Bowtie and the bumper ( the bumper already have this holes)
    hope it helps

from what i've always read, ram air isn't really effective until very high speeds.

It's mostly effective in the 1/4 mile and on the highway. Obvioulsy at Idle it's not going to do squat, but it does make a nice difference in fuel economy and HP

Just don't see how hackin up making two inlets helps when the best ram air is a direct route to the TB, Sealed, and has little turbulance

isn't that damn near the same as cutting out the bottom of the air-intake...aka "the free ram air mod"??

I've seen the chart. You get 1 psi of boost at 110 MPH.

However, there may be other advantages to having a forward-facing intake. Say your intake faces a side or is underneath the car. The Bernoulli effect says that as the air passes around the car, pressure at the car's surface is reduced. This means that when the engine is trying to draw air, the lower pressure is resisting the piston's efforts, robbing some measure of power. A forward-facing intake doesn't suffer from this disadvantage.

If I'm following you correctly here-you are saying that a forward facing air scoop will work, but a scoop underneath of the car or on the side won't? You need to test any such scoop somehow before making that statement. I've heard of drag racers stuffing towels in their forward facing hood scoops and towing the car home on an open trailer and watching as the towel is sucked out of the scoop by the aerodynamics! If the air is at a lower pressure at the bottom of the car-then the radiator won't see any airflow -and it sees plenty of air flow. Try removing the little air foil at the bottom of the front-end and watch your temps climb on the hiway. Having said that-get a OBDII monitor and watch your Intake Air Temps climb when doing the free mods. The air picks up heat from the radiator and blows it into your intake when you open it up to this air flow. I believe what he is showing there is an attempt at getting air from the front of the car-through the grill-something I've wanted to try,but didn't want to remove the windshield washer bottle to do it. Still may do it someday. As far as appearance-nobodies going to see this with the air filter in place so-not an issue to me.Anyway Hola (if that's the right word for hello)to our F-body friends in Mexico!!

Okay, I'll give this a try.

    1. The towel thing:
A running engine is drawing air into that intake. The air at the front has somewhere to go other than just around the car. A towel stuffed into a still engine gets sucked (technically pushed) out because the still air inside the engine is at a higher pressure than the air flowing around the towel outside.

    2. The movement of air and the Bernoulli effect:
Its a pretty simple principle, one that allows airplanes to fly and a carb to flow fuel to the intake. When air flows parallel to a flat surface, the pressure at that surface drops. I remember seeing Bill Nye demonstrate this by suspending two ping-pong balls by a pair of strings from his ceiling. The balls (ok, get your giggles out now) were separated by a short distance. He blew (still giggling?) air between them, and they pulled together. Ever had your ears pop after raising or lowering your windows at high speed?

Now just because the pressure is lower doesn't mean the air isn't there. Lower pressure induced by Bernoulli doesn't effect the radiator because at faster speeds, the radiator is exposed to a proportionately larger overall quantity of oncoming air.
