    True SS?

New to the board, Hey everyone. How can I tell If my SS is a true SS? I have heards of some places that take Z28's and turn them into Clone SS's. Just bought a 2001 SS and I want to be sure. Also how can I get the build # for my car. I know you used to be able to go to SLP.com and get it from them. But I don't see a message board there anymore. Any info would be appreciated, Thanks

Look inside your door frame. There should be a list of RPO codes that tell you what options your car has.

If your car is a true SS, you will see the code "WU8".

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Wesman and Ace, Just looked at my door at the RPO codes and WU8 is there, what a relief.
