    Trouble codes!!

SO my pops truck is due for an inspection. 1998 Chevy C1500 with a 4.3 V6. I noticed the MIL light on. I get a code P1351 Ignition Coil Control Circuit High Voltage. Does that mean that the Ignition Coil is bad?

I have no clue where to start here. I did change the Distributor cap, rotor, wires, and plugs ( needed to do that anyways) any I deas?

    Thanks!!

I've never had to trouble shoot that particular code on a vehicle but I have swapped the coil on my 4.3 and it's a pretty cheap coil and easy to swap. Might start there. In the past I've had quite a bit of trouble with the ignition on my 4.3 and I've swapped pretty much every part out at one time or another.

I've been researching and seems most people are saying two things. 1) Ignition coil needs to be changed. 2) That the timing is off. Which is possible. My pops had a guy work on the truck awhile back and he did remove the whole disrtibutor. I will change the coil since that might be cheaper than taking it in to get the timing adjusted.

    Thanks!

Is the truck running badly or just setting the code? If the timing was off it'd run like ass.
