    trickle charging via cigarette lighter

Can I trickle charge my 2000 Z28 thru the cigarette lighter? It frequently sits for a month undriven.

    Thanks, bma2

think you can get that option, on all 2011 corvettes !! i bought a battery tender, for my zo6's corvettes, many years ago... its surely needed on these corvettes that dont go, as a daily driver.. rkvette

Agreed... these new Vettes that spend a majority of their life sitting, have terrible battery issues.

I would as long as it has a shutoff/kill switch to it. Nothing wrong with charging it from the opposite end of things, just more chances of things to go wrong (loose connections/shorting/fire).

I have a marine battery charger that sits out in the weather with the car, has a microcontroller shutoff switch. Wire is ran through the lower nostrils of the hood, nothings left unlocked/opened.

Yes you can. I charge mine with a battery tender on the batt.
