Unhappy Trans am running bad getting a po308 misfire code on bank 8

Did a scan and I am getting a misfire code on bank 8 .I feel that it could be the wire, plug or coil, what else could it be ? I plan on pulling the plug and wire and check them. how do I check the coil without doing any damage to any thing else? and is there anything else that I need to check? It would have to be #8

Unless you find something obvious -- such as a burned wire, a connection issue, or cracked plug, the easiest thing to do is swap out the No. 8 coil with another one and see if the problem stays at No. 8 or moves to wherever you installed the No. 8 coil.

Repaired the trans ,started removing the # 8 coil and went to pull the wire off the plug and it was off.It was rusty and the wire was burned on the plug end inside of the booth. This wire was never fully plugged on the plug, it has been just laying there sparking fire to the plug until it gave out.I installed the plugs about three years ago so it's been jumping fire to that plug along time.Installed new plug wires only because I only have about 8,000 miles on the plugs,it"s Back to it's old harsh riding ass hauling self, thanks.

That'll do it. Glad it was a simple issue to fix.
