traction control ?
i just bought a rear from the junk yard 10 bolt 3.42 gears
how do i tell if it has traction control ?

Location of ABS sensors. In a traction control equiped cars will have sensors in the backing plates.

I know that, that was how you can tell if the rear end came out of a traction control equiped car. Non traction control equiped cars will have the ABS Sensor mounted to the diff housing.
Traction control is attached to the car as an option and uses the ABS module and computer to limit power and control wheel spin.
Or are you asking how you can tell if a diff came with limited slip or not, If you want to know you have to open up the housing and have a look to perfectly sure.
